Our Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings made with Sierra Tours, a brand of Sierra Group S.A.C. (RUC 20608875442). By making a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as well as our Privacy Policy.

They include information about our tours, booking requirements, payment policies, cancellation rules, and traveler responsibilities. All itineraries are subject to availability and may change due to weather, operational, or safety reasons.

Please read these Terms carefully. If you do not agree with any part, refrain from using our services.

General and Specific Travel Conditions

Our travel conditions are divided into general conditions (apply to all trips) and specific conditions (apply to certain tours, services, or destinations). Together, they form part of your travel contract.

The main traveler is the person in whose name the booking is made and who appears first on the travel documents. This person is responsible for providing correct information, accepting these terms, and ensuring all payments are made. Travel tickets and reservations are personal and non-transferable.

Our General Conditions
  • Passport copies for all participants are required for permits, tickets, and hotel bookings. Submit scanned copies to your sales representative or info@sierratours.io with your booking form. Sierra Tours is not responsible for additional costs if passports are submitted late.
  • Special meal requirements (vegetarian, allergies, medical diets) must be provided at the time of booking.
  • A booking reference will be issued after confirmation and must be used in all future communications.
  • After confirmation, you will receive your travel program and invoice. Check all details carefully, including name spelling. Sierra Tours is not responsible for extra costs due to errors. Contact us immediately if information is incorrect.
  • If a hotel is unavailable, we provide an equivalent or better standard hotel.
  • Tours include local English or Spanish-speaking guides, depending on the program.
  • Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended.
  • Travel documents (tickets, vouchers) are delivered approximately 30 days before departure, or within two weeks if paid in full.
  • Travelers booking their own international flights must provide arrival and departure details for transfers.
  • Travelers transiting via the USA must complete an ESTA application. More info: https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/
General Payment Terms
  • 20% deposit within 7 days after confirmation for land tours and cruises.
  • Some cruises require 30–50% deposit; details will be advised in advance.
  • 50% deposit within 7 days for island hopping programs.
  • 100% payment: 60 days before operation for island programs; 30 days for mainland services.
General Cancellation Policy
  • 20% confirmation deposit is non-refundable.
  • 50% cancellation fee between 29 and 16 days before departure.
  • 100% cancellation fee within 15 days or less before departure.
Cruise Ships
  • 25% confirmation deposit is non-refundable.
  • 100% cancellation fee applies 60 days or less before departure.
  • Special dates (Easter, Christmas, New Year, national/regional holidays) may have different policies.
  • Conditions vary by shipping company; check specific policies before booking.
Flights
  • Airline conditions vary; issued tickets usually incur cancellation fees and may be non-refundable.
  • Travelers must review and accept each airline’s cancellation and refund policy before ticket issuance.
