The best time to experience Inti Raymi is June 24th each year

Inti Raymi is Cusco’s most important and spectacular Inca festival, a historic reenactment of the ancient Sun Festival honoring the Inca sun god, Inti.

Good to know:

  • The celebrations take place at three iconic locations: Qorikancha, Plaza de Armas, and Sacsayhuamán
  • June is part of the dry season in Cusco, offering ideal weather for outdoor events and sightseeing
  • It is an extremely popular event, so flights, hotels, and entrance tickets should be booked well in advance
